The Australian Open is approaching and Brckt has been serving up awesome new features for another great year of tennis bracket challenges.

Brckt Is Back!

Year two of Brckt is coming in faster than a servebot and I’m excited to share all of the new features that are present. I knew this off-season had to be about refining the product, working on user experience, and then adding on as many new features as possible. So without further ado let’s get into it.

Support for 1000 Level Tournaments

This is a biggie as it ups the amount of tournaments that the site supports from 8 (4 men & 4 women majors) to 27 (10 women 1000, 9 men 1000) tournaments! Brackets are beautiful and the goal of Brckt is to support as many as possible. I believe that the Brckt platform has a real opportunity to increase the footprint of tennis. Supporting the 1000 level tournaments gives more power to the current die-hard fans and also allows for those growing in their fandom to experience more of the sport.

There is now a calendar page on the Brckt website which shows all of the supported men’s and women’s tournaments. https://app.brckt.io/calendar

Live Match Scores

One thing I was really looking forward to solving was bringing in the ability to track matches live. Not just being able to see what set the match was on but to be able to see the specific point-by-point score and who is serving. I’m excited to announce that is now possible both in the bracket view and the new scores page. The scores page will enable you to have a condensed view of all of the completed, live, and upcoming matches for a given day. I’m really excited to see this in action for day one of the Australian Open.

In-depth Match Stats

To continue to support the AI analysis feature you will now be able to get a crazy amount of more information about a given match from the stats section. To start naming some, aces, double faults, serve percentage, break points, serve speed, total points, total new points, and more. You can even see the total distance a player covered in a match. You will now be able to get a much better feel for how a match went and how a player is progressing in the tournament all from the site.

Stats and Analysis

User Stats & Point System

One of the reasons I created Brckt was so that I could actually have a record of account for how well (or most of the time how bad) my predictions were for each tournament. Having one spot to go to, one login, and the ability to look back at prior picks is convenient and helpful. User stats & the points system is a layer on top of that. This will be a continued work in progress but now users will get points for how well they finish globally among all participants of that specific tournament.

The referral system has also been improved so if you invite new users via your invite link from the user profile page or your unique group invite code you will also receive points. Points are a fun way to visualize and reward people using the site but don’t have any actual value ascribed to them. Look for this to continue to expand and possibly a “Brckt Wrapped” coming at the end of 2026!

Your profile is semi-public. People will be able to view your username, and your point/tournament history but not be able to view your email, referral URL, or subscriptions.

Updated Groups & Pricing Structure

Making the Brckt platform value packed is the goal. My mind races with everything to be built and to achieve some of it the site must be sustainable. I really appreciate everyone who has used the site and those that have paid for a private group or analytics last year. It is fuel that I have not had the opportunity to harness before. The new pricing structure is listed here https://app.brckt.io/pricing. The new annual & monthly option will give users access to the more in-depth stats for all 27 tournaments supported on the site as well as discounted rates for private groups they create.

On top of this, public groups have now been replaced with featured groups. This comes from the combination of public groups being fragmented into a bunch of smaller groups as well as the feedback I have gotten about offering perks for people that enter or do well in a group. The best way to do this is to have a more concentrated offering of groups shown on the site. If anyone has interest in partnering more on featured groups feel free to reach out. Private groups remain unchanged besides the new discounts for pro users.

Closing Ceremony

The first featured group is live so check it out on the explore page https://app.brckt.io/explore There will be 3 prizes for the men’s tournament and 3 prizes for the women’s. The first and second place winners but also the winner of the referral raffle. Your unique referral URL can be found in the “Referral” tab of the User page. Navigate there by:

  • Clicking “Profile” from the navbar
  • Selecting “View”. Your unique referral code is also attached to the invite of a given group.
  • if you go to “My Dashboard” and click the share URL link any user that signs up from there will also count as a referral for you.

All referrals between now & the start of the tournament will then go towards a raffle. 1 referral = 1 raffle entry. Good luck!

If you made it this far you are a real one. Let’s make this the best year of tennis as we can & grow this Brckt community.
